What we do

Going to university or college is a big commitment, in both time and money, but by getting a degree your child will be making a big investment in their future. It will increase their chances of getting a good job and improve their earning potential. For many young people it is their first taste of independence and an exciting opportunity to try new activities and meet new friends.

Take your place Take Your Place supports underrepresented young people in making informed decision about their future within higher education.
Higher Education Champions Our Higher Education Champions facilitate sessions in schools, organise external speakers and events and coordinate trips to university campuses.
Invested support Take Your Place has also invested support in our local communities, where our Higher Education Champions aim to ensure young people and their families are fully supported.
Explore colleges Explore which Colleges and Universities are holding open days near you, visit their campus and speak to representatives of your favourite subjects.
Free resources Whether you’re a teacher, parent/carer or student, we have a great range of free resources that support your education journey.
