Targeted Outreach

The Targeted Outreach strand is framed around sustained and progressive programme designed for people in Year 11-13 who live in target wards to improve progression to HE. A target ward is an areas  identified by the Office for Students (OfS) as having lower-than-expected numbers of learners progressing to higher education based on GCSE results.

Based on our progressive framework, our targeted outreach programme focuses on termly outcomes that:-

  • improve our students understanding and preparedness to enable them to make informed choices about the specific requirements through which students can realise their aspirations between Key Stages.
  • Improve their passion and ambition enabling students to explore, identify and articulate their passions and aspirations giving positive incentives for choosing post-16 and post-18 pathways.
